Weekly devotion of April 13, 2009
Jesus came to earth to give his life a ransom for many. The trail was over and He was crucified. “It is finished!” This was the shout of a conqueror. He had finished human’s redemption. Nothing was left for people to do except to accept Him as a savior .He was put in a tomb and a big stone was placed on the tomb. For Jews and Romans it was over, little that they knew that it was just the beginning. Because the third day, the tomb was empty! The grave clothes were all in order. Jesus had risen from the dead. He came out in His natural body. Jesus Christ is our resurrected Lord, and He is just the same loving and understanding friend as He was before His death. If we deny the greatest truth of the Gospel, the Resurrection of Jesus then No resurrection means No Gospel at all. For we would be worshiping a dead Christ, for there would be no proof that God had accepted Christ’s death as an atonement for our sins.
Now when the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, that they might come and anoint Him. And they said among themselves, who will roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for us? But when they looked up, they saw that the stone had been rolled away-for it was very large. And they saw a young man clothed in a long white robe sitting on the right side; and he said to them, “Do not be alarm. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him. But go, tell His disciples and Peter- that He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him”.

Jesus Said”I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forever more. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death .I am the First and the Last”
The Revelation 1: 17-18
THE THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK:
We have a Savior who is victorious over death. What a Savior? .O death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory? Jesus Christ is risen from the dead.Hallelujah.
