CLAAS invites UK Christians in Open Discussion Forum to end terror against Pakistani Christens.
London. Mr. Nasir Saeed, Coordinator, CLASS UK in a press issue have said that CLAAS has arranged an "OPEN DISCUSSION FORUM" on Saturday 5th October 2002, at 3:00 PM at Kings Hall Methodist Church, to share the views of Christian community living in
People from all walks of life are invited to join this open forum to take necessary action to stop the future expected attacks on Christians and their institutions. As Christians in Pakistan are going to hold rally on the same day, 5th October 2002 to mark it an anti terrorism day and will be mourning until 6 October.
The coordinator of CLAAS-PK, Mr. M. Joseph Francis is also going on " One Day Hunger Strike" on Wednesday 2nd October 2002, in order to condemn the terrorism against Christians that is now on its peak in Pakistan after the September 11th incident.
CLAAS will also decide how to prevent the life of the eyewitness of the Karachi incident Robin Pira Ditta who is still under the custody of Karachi police where he is being investigated for his involvement in the attack on Justice and Peace Commission and murder of 7 innocent Christians.
We believe that government is trying to divert Pakistani Christians attention from the real cause of the attack and does not seem to be sincere to arrest the real culprits as it is unable to arrest them and is trying to make it look like as if the attack on Justice and Peace Commission in Karachi was the personal matter of the church.
CLAAS has written its concern to the Pakistan, UK and US authorities and is waiting for their replies. CLAAS is also trying to arrange meeting with political leaders of MQM, Peoples Party and Muslim league to gain their favor to promote harmony and religious tolerance.
Special prayers would be made for the deceased and their families and for those who are still under the threat of fundamentalists.
