PCC extends condolences to families of Karachi Blast victims. Sunny Gill

Karachi; February 7, 2010. (PCP) Mr. Sunny Gill, President of Pakistan Christian Congress Karachi Youth Council have expressed grief on deaths of 6 Christians in Karachi bomb blast on February 5, 2010, at Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Center.

Youth PCC Leader, Mr. Sunny Gill met with family members of victims and attended funeral rituals of 6 Christians in Gora Qabristan and rituals at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Saddar, Karachi.

Karachi was rocked by two bomb explosions killing 33 and injuring more than hundred when Shia Muslims were observing religious procession in city. The bombs exploded on Shahra-e-Faisal and in front Jinnah Hospital within two hours.

The bomb blast in Jinnah Hospital killed Manzoor Masih, Akram Masih, Khurram Masih, Nadeem Masih, Kirn Masih and Rosy Masih who were on their way home when bomb in a motor cycle exploded.

Meanwhile AFP reports that suicide bombers rammed into a bus in Karachi on Friday then hit a hospital where casualties were rushed for treatment, killing 25 people in the second assault on Shiites in the Pakistani city in weeks.

The attacks in a city largely isolated from Islamist violence highlighted the instability in Pakistan, which is on the frontline of the US war on Al-Qaeda and where militants have killed more than 3,000 people since 2007.

Women and children were among the 12 people killed when a suicide attacker rammed a motorbike bomb into a bus carrying Shiites on one of Karachi's busiest roads, gutting the bus and sending glass flying, officials and witnesses said.

A second bomber killed 13 people, damaging ambulances and the entrance to the casualty department at Jinnah Hospital, where the victims of the first attack were being treated and anxious relatives were gathering.

Pakistan Christian Congress PCC have announced 3 days mourning in Karachi for bomb blast victims.
