Dear Editor The letter written to many persons, media, politicians (including separatists), academicians,NGOs etc of J&K which was published too at http://www.pakistanchristianpost.com/detail.php?articleid=2506 got very enthusiastic response from some persons who want human rights to be protected in J&K (and ultimately the solution to Kashmir problem). The suggestion given in this letter about launching a Registered Lobbying Forum in USA for solving these chronic & gory problems of J&K was immensely liked by many but no one is taking it further. It seems the problem faced in such mission (that is of adequate funds) is being faced by these well-intentioned people of J&K that is the reason nobody is coming forward to launch this Registered Lobbying Forum in USA. But fortunately for these well-intentioned people of J&K this problem is not insurmountable and it can easily be solved as given below:- (1)- First of all separatists etc should change their priorities. Till now they have worked for political solution of Kashmir problem assuming that the problem of human rights in J&K will solve automatically once there is political solution. But this has not happened so far. (2)- Hence now separatists etc should change the priority and they should first try for the protection of human rights in J&K and this is bound to lead to the solution of Kashmir problem (which is not that difficult as people generally believe). Because human rights problem in J&K is inextricably linked with Indian armed forces, AFSPA etc hence solution of human rights is bound to lead to political solution of Kashmir problem. (3)- This lobbying forum (mainly in the interest of human rights in J&K) will require considerable amount of money to mobilize people, HRNGOs, politicians, government etc in USA and world community (available at UN and in Embassies at New York, and Washington D.C.) in USA. Therefore separatists etc should concentrate on mobilizing these funds (4)- These funds can easily be arranged by separatists and other human right activists / people in J&K if they can mobilize some people (businessmen) in J&K who are interested in doing / expanding their business registered in USA in such a way that they will contribute a part of their profit (say 10% of profit ) for the protection of human rights in J&K. (5)- It is needless to say that there is huge market for goods from J&K especially from Kashmir (Pashmina, woolen cloths, handicrafts etc) throughout the year. Also during winter goods from Kashmir will find increased market and due to winter coming in two months this business can easily be started immediately. (6)- Such business can easily be started in USA by people in USA (who are many in USA including originally from J&K) who are interested in protecting human rights in J&K and will gladly contribute a part of their profit (say 10% of profit ) for the protection of human rights in J&K. In such (registered in USA) business the people (as mentioned above) from J&K can take shares / equity / partnership (and can also give loan to such business) as per the laws of USA. It should not be difficult at-all for separatists etc in J&K to mobilize such businessmen from J&K. -- Only thing needed is that these separatists etc should cheer-up and gird-up with missionary zeal to do the needful (reverse priorities & adequate funds) as mentioned above which is bound to see the solution to all the problems of J&K (on both sides of LOC) within an year and half because President Obama will certainly like to leave a legacy (worth the name) before he leaves White House after 2016 Presidential election (and what can be a better legacy for Obama than the solution of chronic & gory Kashmir problem).
