PCC appeals PM Teresa May to not deport Pakistani Pastor Asher Samson

Philadelphia: January 9, 2019. (PCP) Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, Founder President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC and Editor of Pakistan Christian Post in a letter have appealed to Teresa May Prime Minister of UK to intervene to stop deportation proceedings of a Pakistani Pastor Asher Samson and order retrial of his asylum case as his life is under potential threat if deported to Pakistan.

Pastor Samson is in detention center of immigration to face deportation from UK to his country of origin Pakistan where he is not safe and fled to UK after victimization and threats on his evangelical services.

Dr. Nazir Bhatti said that Christians are targeted on petty issues with blasphemy laws and Muslim mob attacks Christian colonies when justice is never ensured and Muslim culprits are punished.

“Hundreds of Pakistani Muslim have been granted in UK on false claims of political and religious victimization while Islamic Republic of Pakistan is declared to land for Muslim majority and Christian are treated like 2nd class citizens without social justice and due equal basic democratic right and in such situation to deny asylum to Christian expresses double standards of immigration authorities of UK” added Nazir Bhatti

PCC President said that Pakistan is not safe for Christian minority that’s why thousands of Pakistani Christian are fleeing from Pakistan since 2009, every year and taking refuge in South Asian, East Asian Countries and applying for asylum with UNHCR.

Asher Samson case is also like thousands of other Pakistani Christians who are fleeing from Pakistan for safety of their life.

In his letter to Prime Minister of UK, Dr. Bhatti have said Great Britain is awarding millions of dollars of aid to Pakistan but Oxford educated Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan extends his support for blasphemy laws in his public speeches and not assures to end misuse of blasphemy laws which expresses that Islamic Republic of Pakistan is more unsafe in this regime.

Nazir Bhatti warned UK that if any harm or attack happens on Pastor Asher Samson and his family in Pakistan if he is deported from UK then UK Administration will stand responsible of it and consequences.
