The Award on interfaith harmony and peace among religious communities was given to Maulana Hafiz Tahir Mahmood Ashrfi from Pakistan by Archbishop of Canterbury who leads Anglican Church around globe.
The Lambeth award was given to Hafiz Mohammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi on September 11, 2026, by Archbishop of Canterbury.
After one week this award of Hafiz Ashrafi is withdrawn by Archbishop of Canterbury with reasons that he praised Osama Bin Laden in his comments in 2007, praising him hero.
If this is reason, then we must consider Islam at this moment. The millions of children of Muslim boys are given name of Osama and lot may be living with this name in Great Britian and all-over Christian countries in West along with Islamic States.
It brings mindset of Muslims and teaching of Islam which teach of Jihaad and turn over globe to be Islamic world.

I have seen many Bishops of Anglican Church who are now in Church of Pakistan with Moulana Ashrafi in Interfaith conferences. These Bishops of Church of Pakistan keep contacts with Hafiz Ashrafi to reach high-ups in government of Pakistan for their vested interests to safeguard their church properties disputes or elections of Bishops
The Lambeth Palace invited Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi from Pakistan to award him on his services for interfaith harmony in Pakistan and in a ceremony Archbishop of Canterbury Dame Sara Mulley awarded him.
In 1970 Church of Pakistan was formed by uniting as one denomination by Anglican, Presbyterian, Methodist and Lutheran Churches in Pakistan which was duly accepted by head of Anglican Church of England or Archbishop of Canterbury. These Churches as Body of Church of Pakistan faced disputes in selling church properties in Pakistan. The disputes in Elections of Bishops came under litigation in higher courts which made it to approach tools having say in government and Hafiz Ashrafi was taken as way to approach government authorities by Bishops of Church of Pakistan.
For such motives, these Bishops organized Interfaith conferences and peace dialogues Events in which they invited Hafiz Ashrafi and other Muslim religious leaders to raise support for their motives in government.
These Bishops referred Hafiz Tahir Mahood Ashrfi to Lambeth Palace office for award on Interfaith Harmony which was honored on week before its withdrawn.
Now questions arise on the Lambeth Palace office that why it did not investigate the full contents of Hafiz Ashrafi before inviting him for award.
The role of Hafiz Ashrafi is like an open book for people of Pakistan who know his stand on Jihaad, blasphemy laws and implementation of Islamic laws on minorities of Pakistan then why Bishops ignored it.
The element of favoritism, politics and corruption in Churches in Pakistan have dragged it away from their services of preaching and uplift of congregations. We cannot close our eyes on Catholic Church of Pakistan whose few Rev, Fr. Can also be seen involved in such interfaith conferences and its selection of some priests for further studies in Vatican City.
