Dutch Pakistani observe Iqbal Day and Labour Day

Holland: May 3, 2010. (PCP) Pakistani Nation in Holland under the banner of Pak - Dutch National Forum had warmly celebrated 72nd death anniversary of Shayar-e-Mashriq Dr. Allama Mohammad Iqbal together with International Labour day in Den Haag Holland. H.E. Aizaz Ahmad Chaudry, Ambassador of Pakistan in Holland as Chief Guest in his speach as "Harf-e-Aghaz" mentioned he himself is one the big fans of Dr. Allama Iqbal's personality and poetry and this is not enough to organize a program once a year in honour of a person who gave us dream of freedom and guide lines for gentle life. With Regard to International Labour day Ambassador of Pakistan in Holland informed about fixation of minimum salary limits of a Labour in Pakistan and marked this as first step of present Government of Pakistan towards better future and happy life of Pakistani Nation. Mr. Ejaz Saifi submitting welcome note thanked all participants including prominent poets from different countries in Europe. Mr. Saifi further mentioned, since Dr. Allama Iqbal had a soft corner in his heart and poetry for common Labour person therefore, Pak Dutch National Forum decide to celebrate his 72 Death Anniversary together with International Labour day. Program was designed on two parts "Nassaree" and "Poetry", in First part a child Zeeshan Tariq brought "Kalaam - e - Iqbal" while Mr. Masood Qureshi read in Urdu and Miss Sabreena Jan spoke in English about Shayar-e-Mashriq Allama Iqbal highlight "KHUDEE" the most and more...... Choir of Urdu Church Holland was also invited to sing Kalam-e-Iqbal, but due sudden death in a Christian family, their late arrival made impossible to perform. 'IQBAL HAAR DAUUR KAA SHAYAR" a beautifuly prepared and presented by Mr. Safdar Hamdani, a we well known and loving personality in Urdu Adab and TV/Radio. In Second Part, Mushayaraa was organized and group of prominent poets from all over Holland and neighbouring countries comprising upon Parvez Iqbal, Sohail Abidee, Naeem Arif, Safdar Syed, Shahzada Sultan, Umeed Mohi-Ud-Din, Adeel Shakir, Ehsaan Sehgall, Nasir Nizamee, Tahira Rubab Illyas, and Safdar Hamdani were invited and through their poetry, they made the event historical and ever memorable. Senior Vice President Mr. Jameel Ahmad Sherwani, winded up program with all thanks to the Chief Guest, Media, participants, poets and readers, for their time and efforts to making this event successful and proving even very far from Pakistan, our love with homeland and respect to Dr. Alla Iqbal will never go down but will increase day by day. After great photo session with Chief Guest, poets, speakers and organizers Mr. Sherwani invited everyone for Dinner.
