Five Christian injured on discriminate Muslims attackers firing in Christian village Essa Nagri in Pakistan
Faisalabad: June 1, 2010. (PCP) Five Christians were admitted to Sumundri Civil Hospital in critical conditions with bullet wounds when Muslims opened fire in a Christian village Chak no 462-GB, known as Essa Nagri (Colony of Lord Jesus) Tehsil Samundri, District Faisalabad on May 28, 2010.
The village Essa Nagri have all Christian inhabitants which was established by missionaries in 1890. There are 5 schools which also serve nearby Muslim villages.
The oldest school village Essa Nagri is C.M.S Boys High school which was nationalized by PPP government of ZA Bhutto in 1973, nationalization of Christian Schools, Colleges and Hospital.
On May 27, 2010, two Christian students had some arguments in CMS School with a Muslim student who were residents of Muslim village named "Mailluan" to which one of the school teacher who is also from that village of Muslim Guy started beating these two Christian students and also warned them of dire consequences tomorrow morning but the younger students didn’t take this warning as serious.
Today, on May 28, 2010, at 07.00 AM, The Christian students departed for their school. after some time around 07.15 AM, a van full of Muslim equipped with fire weapons came in village Essa Nagri and opened fires directly at the home of one boy and also entered in the house and started firing which resulted in 5 Christians fatal injuries
Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC have urged government of Punjab to adopt necessary security measure for safty of life and property of Christians of Essa Nagri.
PCC leader feared that Muslims can attack Christian village Essa Nagri again because it is surrounded by Muslim villages and under constant threat.
