Clement Shahbaz Bhatti name demanded to remove from ECL, Minorities demanded.

ISLAMABAD: In a joint emergent meeting of the executives, the All Pakistan Minorities Alliance (APMA), the Advisory Committee of APMA, the justice & Peace Commission of the Catholic Bishops Conference and the Christian Organizations for Social Action in Pakistan (COSAP), condemned harassment being meted out to Clement ShahbazBhatti. The meeting held in Islamabad Sunday also expressed complete faith, trust and confidence in the leadership of Clement Shahbaz Bhatti as the President of the All Pakistan Minorities Alliance and of the Christian Liberation Front. The meeting alleged that the harassment that according to the participants being meted out to him by the secret agents for the last one-year culminating in his name being included in the Exit control List (ECL). "We stand by our commitment of uniting the peoples of Pakistan as one nation without any bias to cast, colour or creed and our relentless efforts will continue towards making Pakistan into a true democratic republic where all citizens will enjoy equal rights regardless of their religion, sect or ethnicity," the meeting passed a resoluution according to a release. They pledged to continue struggling for the total repeal of all written and unwritten laws discriminating against minorities and women will continue with the same zeal and gusto. "In conclusion we hereby declare that should anything happen to Mr. Clement Shahbaz Bhatti, god Forbid, we shall hold the government responsible. We demand that all forms of harassment of the President APMA be stopped and his name be remove from the ECL forthwith, failing which we reserve the right to seek any remedy we deem fit," the meeting demanded.
