Lahore, Pakistan: In a shocking incident that has alarmed the Christian community in Lahore, a mother of six has gone missing from Gujjum
Ho Chi Minh City: The trial of Pastor Bui Van Ba, the general secretary of the Full Gospel House Churchorganisation, has been postponed by government authorities. The official reason given was that 'the peoples appeal judge is unable to attend in order to execute the lawsuit'. Rev. Ba was arrested in August 2003 for 'resisting an officer doing his duty', who entered his home while a prayer meeting of 25 Christians was taking place. His wife was injured by the public security officer and Pastor Ba was severely beaten and jailed. He has been under house arrest since August 18th.
Factors that may have influenced the postponement of the trial are direct advocacy to authorities by house church leaders- including the threat to send demonstrators into the streets, wide international publicity, interest shown
by Western embassies, and prayer.
