Pakistan Christian Congress condemn killing of Iraqi Christian worshipers

Karachi: November 1, 2010. (PCP) Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC have strongly condemned terrorist attack on worshipers in Our Lady of Salvation Church in Baghdad, killing dozens of innocent Christians who were performing Sunday Services on October 31, 2010. The Islamic militants entered in a Church in Baghdad and held more than 150 worshiper hostages on Sunday to demand release of Islamist terrorists in Iraqi jails. The attackers tortured Christian worshipers and gunned down Priests before pushing congregates to wall. They seven militants shot dead 15 innocent Christians and injured more than dozen during hold up to press upon their demands to Iraqi government. Dr. Nazir Bhatti said that to make hostages to worshipers of any religion and kill them is heinous crime against humanity but unfortunately Islamic extremists are committing it in name of Islam. “PCC have grave concerns on rising violence against Christians in Pakistan, Iraq, Egypt, Indonesia, Bangladesh and Malaysia which are ally of United States on war against terrorism“ said Nazir Bhatti As President Obama makes progress to mend US relations with Islamic world, the Islamist Jihadi draw line by attacks on Christians in Islamic countries. “The killing of dozens of innocent Christians and frequent attacks on Churches in Iraq where 50,000 US troops are based is very serious situation” added Nazir Bhatti Dr. Nazir said “It is need of time that US aid may be condition to Religious Freedom in Pakistan where hate against Christianity is at its peak and attacks on Churches, Christian property and their killing is daily routine”
