LARKANA: April 29, 2011. (By Nazir Siyal) Protest and hunger strike were observed by the Khaksar Tehreek, Suni Tehreek, Jeay Sindh Taraqi Pasand Tahreek and others against the poverty, unemployment, bomb blast, copy culture, lawlessness, target killing and power outage here before the Press Club on Friday.
Activists of Khaksar Tehreek Larkana chapter held protest and token hungers strike and chanted slogans against the increase of prices, police atrocities, lawlessness, unemployment and other issues.
Khaksar Tehreek protest led by Pir Bux Abbasi, Niaz Baloch, Ibrar Mughal, Mukhtiar Brohi, Iman Bux Makol and others, they said that the present government had failed to provide relief to the poors instead of decreasing poverty, unemployment, inflation and other crises in country but the rulers have increased their problems day by day.
They also said criticized the government about ongoing house census and said there are the chances of removal of several numbers of houses.
While, Suni Tehreek Larkana chapter also token hunger strike against the WAPDA authorities on removal of transformers from different villages and Larkana city Muhallas here on Friday.
Activists carrying play cards and chanted slogans against the SEPCO Wapda, they also demanded for the restoration of electricity in Gajanpur Muhalla and other parts of district.
On the occasion, local leaders Imran Attari, Imran Jarwar, Irfan Shaikh, Akhtar Brohi and others.
Meanwhile, Jeay Sindh Taraqi Pasand Tehreek took out protest rally for the arrest of killers of Nationalist leaders Sirai Qurban Khuhawar, Rooplo Choliani and others here on Friday.
The rally started from Qaim Shah Bukhari after marching through various thorough fares and culminated at Press Club, where the activist of JSTPT shouted slogans and call for the arrest of killers of nationalist leaders.
