PCA reception in honor of Asiya Nasir and Ghulam Bolur

New York: August 3, 2011. (PCP) Pakistan Christian Association in North America PCA hosted a reception in honor of Pakistani Christian woman in parliament of Pakistan and Federal Minister for Railways in New York on July 24, 2011. Mrs. Zeba Gill, President of PCA in her inaugural address welcomed guests of honor and urged repeal of blasphemy law in Pakistan which is targeting Christians and other religious minorities in Pakistan. PCA President also demanded Dual Voting right for minorities in Pakistan as awarded to Kashmiri Muslims and security of life and property of Christians in Pakistan. Haji Ghulam Bolur, Federal Minister of Railways and leader of Awami National Party ANP, based in Khyber Pukhtoonkhawa province former NWFP, bordering Afghanistan praised Indian Railways and urged for more funds to modernize Pakistan Railways. Mr. Bolur pointed at Asiya Nasir who represent an Islamic party Jamiat Ulma-e-Pakistan JUI(F) in Pakistan parliament to hinder repeal of blasphemy law. JUI (F) opposed any changes in blasphemy law in Pakistan and took out processions to oppose any changes in Pakistan. The reception was attended by Muslim league Nawaz group, Pakistan People’s Party, Awami National party, Khyber Society, Soni Watan Glt party and many other distinguished guests in Tri-state area. The chief guest of reception, Mrs. Asiya Nasir, Member of National Assembly of Pakistan said security of Pakistan is security of world. Asiya Nasir refrained to comment on blasphemy law and other discriminatory laws in Pakistan in reception hosed in honor by PCA. Mr. Chairman Shahzad William said in his words of thanks that PCA is team work so he invited all Christian to join to make Pakistan better place to live for suffering Christian brothers and sisters in Pakistan. He also thanks and appreciate team work of PCA including (General Secretary) Babar Khokar, Eric Sunder, James Gill, Parveen Cyprian,Teresa Shazad, Patrick Bashir, Shaista Khokar, Indreus Augustine. Arif Masih, James Cyprian(Secretary information) Nasir Dean , Fredrick Din, all the spiritual leaders and well-wisher and supporters, he saluted Dr. Shahbaz Bhatti who is representative of PCA in Pakistan and their devoted team for their achievement in Lahore Pakistan.
