Lahore: August 22, 2011. (PCP) Chairman Christian Youth Fellowship (CYF) Dr. Shabaz Bhatti met with delegation of Masihi Councilor Itthed on last night on his residence. He said in meeting that Government of Punjab did wrong to hand over the SWM department to one of the private company name by Lahore Waste Management that is totally against the rules set for privatization by Government of Pakistan. He said that Pakistani political history is witness that this is not a first time to attack against the Pakistani Christian such incident took place before this in Nawaz Government. He said that this is great violation of the basic rights of the Christian of Pakistan. He added more that there are more than dozen departments in CDGL where Muslims are employed but same that were not privatized instead of SWM in which majority of Christians were employed. He demand the Punjab government to take back this decision and restore the SWM and give the relief to poor Christians sanitary worker of SWM, otherwise CYF protest against them throughout Pakistan.
