SIALKOT: March 2, 2012. (PCP) About 26 people shaved the head of a woman for converting to Christianity at Kot Meerath village, Sambrial on Wednesday.
Sixty-year-old Seema Bibi alias Sabi, wife of Yousaf, had embraced Islam six months ago. She converted to Christianity a few days ago.
In revenge, about 26 people tortured her. Later, they also shaved her head.
The Baigowal police have registered a case and arrested 21 accused, including Nawab Din, Naveed, Rafique, Ilyas, Farhan, Afzal, Shafaqat Ali, Zafar, Amanat Ali and M Ashraf. Further investigations are underway.
