HYDERABAD: October 10, 2012. (By Abbas Kassar) A Christian girl Rebecca 22, resident of Mariam colony Sukkur was kidnapped by armed men of Mian Aslam son of Mian Mithoo Member of Parliament of Pakistan (National Assembly) while on her way for duty of nursing on October 02, 2012 and made captive in Bharchoondi the Haveli of Mian Mithoo the politically influenced Pir of the area and after forcibly converted to Islam was married to one Manzar Dahar a disciple of Pir Mian Mithoo. When the parents of converted girl came to know about her kidnapping and forced conversion, they were threatened by Mian Aslam the son and main kidnapper of Rebecca to keep silence otherwise face more dangerous consequences. It may be recalled that ruling Pakistan People’s Party MNA Mian Mithoo is notorious in kidnapping non-Muslim girls and after keeping them in his Haveli (fort) married them to his disciples or servants. Hindu girl Rinkel Kumari was also kidnapped by Mian Mithoo and then married to his follower. The Chief Justice Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Chowdhry also did not rescue the Hindu girl Rinkel and handed her to her kidnappers. He seemed helpless in matters of violence against non-Muslims in Pakistan. The parents of Rebecca had held protest demonstration in front of press club Sukkur and tried to lodge report but police refused to file the case. Rebecca daughter of Yunus Masih was working as nurse in a welfare hospital Sukkur and was kidnapped when on her way to hospital at noon on October 2, 2012. After marrying her with a Muslim man she was renamed as Kalsoom. The protest demonstration before press club Sukkur was led by Yunus Masih the father of girl an Muhammad Bu Qureshi leader of Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz the party of late Bashir Khan Qureshi which was struggling for rights of people of Sindh. Yunus Masih told that they approached DSP police Abdul Rehman Sheerazi for lodging FIR but he also refused to entertain their complain and asked them to remain silent. They made appeal to president of Pakistan and international conscience to help them recover their kidnapped girl.
