Fight Broke Out Between Muslims and Christians on Eid Day. CLAAS UK Report

Image

On 4th November 2005, the Eid day, a fight broke out between Muslims and Christians living in the same village for over a century. The fight arose when some Muslims started swearing at Christians and one of them namely Rameez tried to shoot a Christian named Binyamin (Benjamin) but fortunately Binyamin survived. When his family and friends came to know about this, they called the police who arrested all the Muslim men and locked them behind bars on Eid day, which was not acceptable by the Muslims. But since they were very influential they came out the very next day on 5th November and the same evening, 13 Muslim men attacked Christians who were carrying weapons. Nasir and Rameez (Muslims) caught Pastor Indrias Masih and beat him severely and also shot blew his left ear that was later stitched by the doctors. They did this because Indrias reported to the police and became a cause of going behind the bars on Eid Day. They also beat Christian innocent women and children. Pastor Indrias is admitted in the General Hospital, Lahore for treatment. Although Pastor Indrias`s condition is serious but according to the doctor he will recover soon. Please pray for him.
