Karachi: December 11, 2012. (PCP) Mr. Saleem Khursheed Khokhar MPA Sindh, Chairman Standing Committee on Minorities Affairs Sindh Assembly and President All Pakistan Minorities Alliance Sindh vehemently condemned firing on sister Bergetta by extremists who came on motorcycle and fired upon 70 years old Sister Bergetta who is well known educationist. Sister Allembay Bergetta is the Managing Director of Full Gospel Assemblies of Pakistan; NGO was seriously injured and is a critical condition. She has been working in Pakistan for the last 38 years on different welfare programs and had been imparting paramedical education to women such as midwifery and to men technical training courses. Being an expert in education and welfare activities she was brutally targeted and fired upon during the afternoon hours when she reached her residence from her office. The assailants / extremists were successful in leaving the place after firing. Mr. Saleem Khursheed Khokhar stressed that such incidents is disturbing the law and order and peace in the country as well damaging the religious harmony between the religious minorities who are working shoulder to shoulder with the majority and are contributing in the mainstream of politics of Pakistan. He appealed to the Government that the culprits should be arrested and punished in accordance with law
