LARKANA: February 7, 2013. (Nazir Siyal) All the political and religious parties led by Jamait Islami (JI) continued their staged sit-in protest at Jinnah Chowk against the removal of bogus voter lists under Pak Army and by the SC orders.
On Thursday, several political and religious parties led by Jamait Islami staged sit-in against the Supreme Court orders' violation for fairly monitoring of re-lists and removal of bogus voter lists under Pak Army and Independent authorities here at Jinnah Bagh Chowk and Press Club Larkana.
The parties protest demonstration and staged sit-in was continued for several hours and demanded of the Election Commission of Pakistan to start monitoring and evaluation process under Pakistan Army and Independent observers for renewal of transparent lists and removal of bogus voter lists according to the orders of Supreme Court of Pakistan.
All the day traffic was suspended due to staged sit-in at main roads from four corners at Jinnah Bagh Chowk and inside the city roads, protesting activists carrying banners, play cards inscribed with slogans demanded of the proper checking of lists and removal of bogus voter lists as per SC orders.
Waiving their flags during the staged sit-in for several hours by the different political and religious parties among Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F), Jeay Sindh Taraqi Pasand Party (JSTPP), Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Jamiat Ulma-e-Islam (JUI), Sunni Tehreek, Sindh United Party (SUP), Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM), Awami Tehreek, Jamiat Ulmai Pakistan (JUP) and others participated against the fake voter lists and renewal process by the Election Commission of Pakistan.
They all shouted slogans for proper voter listings in Karachi under the supervision of Pak Army and other independent agencies and removal of all bogus votes from the election commission lists.
The protest was remain continued till afternoon and spoke high about making of proper voter listings under Pak Army in Karachi and other parts of country. They also demanded of the Election Commission of Pakistan to follow the Supreme Court orders according to the proper functioning of voter lists under the supervision of Pak Army.
JI leaders among Secretary General Sindh Advocate Mumtaz Hussain Sahto, Advocate Ashiq Dhamrah, Kashif Shaikh, PML-F district Vice President Asghar Ali Abbasi, JUP provincial Vice present Sindh Hafiz Ahmed Ali Abbasi, SUP District President Qamardin Shaikh, JUI-F district President Rashid Mehmood Soomro, PML-N district General Secretary Ali Gohar Bhutto, Suni Tehreek leader Hafiz Hussain Bux, Awami Tehreek Maqsood Soomro, JSQM Aressar group Mohammed Ali Abro, JSMM, Mohammed Ali Abro, Sarfraz Anjum Kumbhar, Hari Abadgar Board centeral President Haji Abdul Majeed Shaikh, IJT Sindh General Secretary Zamir Raja Shaikh and others participated in the protest.
Speaking to the Dharna, JI leaders among Secretary General Sindh Advocate Mumtaz Hussain Sahto said that the bogus voter lists are the hindrance in the transparent election process in country; he said the Election Commissioner is the respectable person but the political interference will not be acknowledged and the decision of Supreme Court should be accepted.
They also said that the present functioning of Election commission listing process is not according to the criteria, these bogus voter lists will create conspiracies and doubts over the transparent election process, but it called under pressure and hijacked Election Commission of Pakistan they said.
The political leaders said that all over the country there are reservations over the present verification of voter lists, creating conspiracies and reservation over the lists and the people of country demands proper functioning of Election Commission lists they said.
They also said that if these elections will not be materialize if the transparent process is doubted, so that for this purpose the voter lists should be fair and Independent lists by election commission of Pakistan.
The political leaders said that if the Election Commission of Pakistan failed to find proper elections according to the Supreme Courts of Pakistan, the free, fair and transparent elections will be proved a fake claim by EC and than constitutional and democratic masses of country will find their own way by a bloodshed revolution is imperative they said.
