Islamabad: February 9, 2013. (PCP) Opposition leader National Assembly of Pakistan Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan answered a question from a journalist during his press conference on February 8, 2013 that he is 200% agree with JSalik’s demand of election on reserved minority seats rather than selection. He said that he will raise this point within his party, Pakistan Muslim League (N).
Tehreek-e-Tahafuz-e-Pakistan (Dr. Qadeer Khan’s party) has also written a letter to Election Commission of Pakistan on February 7, 2013 in which they are demanding for direct Election. they said 70 reserved seats are being filled is violating constitution, Instead it should be filling with direct elections that means they are not true representatives chosen by nation but getting selected on personal relations to sit in the Nation Assembly Government of Paksitan.
Salik said that now there are not the true and genuine representatives of the minorities in Assembly because they are not elected by the votes of minorities; they are only selected by the major political parties.
