LARKANA: February 26, 2013. (Nazir Siyal) Several parts of Sindh districts remain suspended and blocked all roads particularly Larkana, Kamber-Shahdadkot, Jacobabad, Shikarpur districts and other cities and towns with massive protests and blockage, a complete shutter down strikes was observed in Larkana.
On Tuesday, a complete shutter down strike affected the trade and educational activities in Larkana and other parts of district in present week, as after the killings of three persons and 15 injured after the blasts at Pir Hajan Shah Huzoori in Shikarpur districts and before it was at Gadi-Nasheens of Kamber Sain Hussain Sahh.
The protest demonstrations continued in the present week and shutter down affected the trade and educational activities’ particularly in Larkana. The schools also remain closed due to week long stikes in the city.
The SUC protesters carrying sticks, blocked highway and different roads and sit-in at Jinnah bagh Chowk in protest rallies for arrest of involved culprits during the blast on the spiritual leader Sayed Hajjan Shah Mari waro. The followers and devotees chanted slogans against the rulers for immediately arrest of attackers.
All the shops and markets including Resham Gali Shahi Bazar, Bunder road, Pakistan Chowk, Royal road, Jinnah Bagh, Lahori Muhalla, Fish Market, Bakrani Road, Anaj Mandi, the petrol pumps, CNG stations and other parts of Larkana district were remain closed and the traffic was suspended on the roads. The private schools already announced closure of educational activities due to shutter down strikes on another day.
Chief Minister Sindh Sayed Qaim Ali Shah was also stopped by the protesters at various blocked Chowks of the routes to Larkana and Kamber-Shahdadkot during a meeting and offer Fateha with the spiritual leader Sain Hussain Shah at Kamber city.
Several religious Organizations among Shia Ulma-e-Coucil Pakistan and others held protest demonstrations and call for shutter down strike.
All the markets, Petrol Pumps, CNG Stations and other business centers and private schools remain closed in Larkana and other parts of districts, while Jamiat Ulam-e-Tahria, Pakistan Suni Tehreek, Jamiat Tulba-i-Islam, Jamiat Ulma-e-Pakistan, PML-N and other social and political parties supported the protest calls in different cities including Larkana, Kamber-Shahdadkot, Ratodero, Naudero, Warrah, Nasirabad, Dadu, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Kashmore-Kandhkot, Sukkur, Khairpur, Gambat, Naushehro Feroz and other districts of province.
A large number of devotees and flowers of both Gadi-Nasheens including Sain Hussain Shah of Qamber Dargah and Pir Hajan Shah Huzoori at Marri village, who also injured seriously was shifted to the CMC Larkana than to Karachi for treatment.
On the occasion, a large number of social, religious and political personalities, notables, citizens and thousands of devotees and flowers also condemned the attacks on religious leaders and Gadi-Nasheens and they called a conspiracy against the sects to distribute them and hatred among the sects.
