HYDERABAD: February 28, 2013. (Abbas Kassar) The Christians residents of Hari camp Sikendarabad near Kotri held protest demonstration outside press club here on Thursday against occupation of Church plot.The demonstration protest was led by Father Erik Ilyas, Pervez Khokhar and Budho Bheel. They told that the persons belonging to the ruling party occupied plot of Church and when they approached Sardar of the area Malik Asad he divided plot into two and gave them the half while half was given to grabbers. They said that on 7Feb last two persons Ilyas son Hakim and Yousuf Yuhana sold around 2800 sft of Church plot while on the remaining plot has again been occupied by land mafia group. They said they approached deputy inspector general police for recovery of plot but police did not take any action. They said that after it a delegation of Church leaders led by Ilyas A.Dita visited Additional DIG and requested him for recovery of plot but Kotri police did not move as it has received heavy amount of bribe from land grabbers and apart from it the land mafia group is patronized by politicians of ruling party .They also accused that while dismantling the name plat of Church the land grabbers desecrated the Cross. They demanded action against land grabbers and recovery of Church plot. KILLERS OF CHRISTIAN MAN ROAMING FREELY: A Christain woman Daulat Bibi in her seventies has demanded arrest of killers of her husband Nazir Masih more than 70 years of age who was killed by known persons on27 November 2012.Addressing news conference at Hyderabad press club along with her two sons Safdar and Mukhtiar, she said they were residents of Padri Jo Goth ( village of Priest) Union Council Mian on 1 kilometers distance from Sanghar city. She told that at 5:30 evening her husband was bringing the cattle back to home, he was interrupted by two men Gulzar Mallah and Kanta Jamali who tried to snatch the animals from him and on resistance they shot him dead. She said they loeged FIR of murder of her husband with Sanghar city police with FIR number 246/2012 but the accused have still not been arrested. She said as they were poor and belonging to minority community police not only was not arresting accused but was also protecting them. She said DSP Sanghar Sharif Shar, City police station SHO Hussain Bux Rajar,SHO Munawar Saryo and Head Munshi Samoon are all supporting the criminals. She said police officers say you want go and do but they will not arrest killers. She made appeal to chief justice Pakistan and to human rights organizations to take notice of murder of her husband.
