ISLAMABAD: March 18, 2013. (Shamim Masih) Couple of days back, when I went to Lahore to distribute food to the people of Badami Bagh victims, there was many other organizations doing the same; some were distributing food stuff, others were distributing clothes. After my work done, I went to see around the other camps, there I saw a group, who placed a slogan, “we will not leave you alone” its restoration camp there they were distributing ceiling fans, crockery, pillows, bed sheets, quilts and charpais. As soon as I reached there, I saw that they are from World Vision in Progress, a group of dynamic people told that they had planned to deliver more to these needy people. They said that we don’t believe on photo graph but to maintain the record, it’s necessary to show our heads. I met Farrukh Harry Saif (chief of WVIP) during Rimsha case; he came to Islamabad to deliver to the displaced people of Meharabadi, Islamabad. During our first meeting, he seemed a committed man having strong vision World Vision in Progress – WVIP Lahore based organization working against the social and religious injustice based on religion. WVIP has dealt the quit number of blasphemy cases and settling the accused as well. Farrukh told me on telephone that WVIP mission is to reach the needy minority people. There is no discrimination of religion, race and creed. They are all our brothers and sisters. And we believe that our Christ Jesus teaches us to help the person in need and you shall be helped. We pray that our people can live in peace and can lead prosperous life. I request to all our people to pray for us, he added.
