Karachi: March 26, 2013. (PCP) A religious minorities representative session was held at Essa Nagri, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Sir Shah Suleman Road, Karachi, Pakistan on 26-03-2013 where different inter denominations participated in which representatives of Roman Catholic Church, Church of Pakistan, Church of Salvation Army Church, Presbyterian Church, United Methodist Church, Pentecostal Church, Baptist Church, Global Vision Juresuliam Church, Great Gospel Church, Baphtists Pentecostal Church, Gospel Revival Assemblies Church of Pakistan, Church Council of Pakistan, Catholic Bishop Conference, National Council of Justice and Peace, National YMCA of Pakistan, Hindu Sewa, Pitambar Sehwani, Former MPA Sindh, Executive and Members of Sindh Council of All Pakistan Minorities Alliance, Global Human Rights Association Alliance. A special prayer was offered for the victims and martyrs of blasphemy law and resolution was accordingly passed in the session as under: - RESOLUTION 1) This representative body of religious minorities of Pakistan demand to caretaker Government of Pakistan to provide full proof security to the leader of Christian Community Mr. Saleem Khursheed Khokhar and his family as he and his family is being chased by the extremists / Islamic militants who are constantly extending death threats to Mr. Saleem Khursheed Khokhar and his family. 2) This representative session placed on record the untiring efforts and struggle for voicing for the rights of minorities particularly on the very sensitive issues like blasphemy law, forced conversions, forced marriages, protection of religious minority’s communal properties and other discrementary laws inforce against the minorities. 3) This representative house would announce the next line of action after Easter Sunday which is falling on 31st March, 2013. The Secretary of the All Pakistan Minorities Alliance Sindh Chapter expressed his views and said that, His Excellency Mr. Asif Ali Zardari, President of Pakistan, Interior Minister of Pakistan, Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarian Mr. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Amensty International, Home Ministry of Sindh have already directed to provide full proof security for the safety of Mr. Saleem Khursheed Khokhar whose life is in danger and is being chased by the terrorists and as such he is hiding from one place to an other un known places for safety. The Secretary also reiterated that more than once Mr. Saleem Khursheed Khokhar’s ancestral home at Essa Nagri had been under fire and attacked by unknown arm persons of this incident an First Information Report (FIR) have already been lodged in Police Station PIB Gulshan-e-Iqbal. He also informed that Mr. Saleem Khursheed Khokhar’s son Mr. Kalson Aamir Khokhar was kidnapped by the unknown terrorists and this respect First Information Report was lodged at Police Station Gulshan-e-Iqbal and an FIR on the death threats extended to Mr. Saleem Khursheed Khokhar has also been lodged in Police Station Clifton. Mr. Samuel Xavier said that we would not like to lose Mr. Saleem Khursheed Khokhar like we have already lost Mr. Shahbaz Bhatti former Federal Minister, his Eminence Bishop John Joseph, Malik Atta Muhammad Former MPA Sindh, Aslam Marton and other victims of Rimpa Plaza.
