Lahore: April 5, 2013. (PCP) The CLAAS lawyers and Coordination Team after release of Younis Masih from Mianwali jail moved him to undisclosed safe place for security concerns to his life.
CLAAS was a leading organization to fight for freedom of Younis Masih who was sentenced to death on accusation of blasphemy in 2007, with fine of one hundred thousand rupees from session courts.
Mr. Naeem Shakir Advocate engaged by CLASS argued for his release and acquittal from case in Lahore High Court in an appeal against Younis Masih death sentence while prosecutors failed to produce any evidence or witness in court proceedings.
In a communiqué to Pakistan Christian Post, the CLAAS chief coordinator Joseph Francis wrote that CLAAS have been supporting Younis Masih wife and children on monthly basis with food and financial support.
