LAHORE: April 29, 2013. (PCP) Two different teams of EU Observation Teams to witness Election 2013 in Pakistan visited Pakistan Christian Congress PCC leaders in Dijkot, Faisalabad and Lahore to understand Christian’s role in elections. In Dijkot, Pastor Shabir Patras who is President of PCC-Dijkot and in Lahore, Mushtaq Gill Advocate who is PCC Lahore President and Chief of LEAD and Ms. Ruhama Ambreen Shah who is President of PCC Lahore Women Wing welcomed EU Teams. Pakistan Christian Congress (PCC) Lahore in meeting with EU Election Observers Team: Sardar Mushtaq Gill Advocate President PCC Lahore and National Director LEAD and Ms Ruhama Ambreen Shah President PCC women Wing Lahore held meeting with European Union Election Observation Mission Pakistan 2013. In a press Conferences and press notes issued after PCC meetings on provinces levels and devisions levels in which PCC demended Right of Dual Vote and Election On Minorities Reserved Seats but Government Of Pakistan did not consider PCC demand. The Chairman of PCC decided to boycott The Election 2013 for minorities and national interests and to safe Pakistan of Quaid-E-Azam which is under threat by extremist mind set. In meeting with EU Election Observer Team President PCC Lahore,Sardar Mushtaq Gill Advocate clearly and straight forward told to EU Election Observer Team that PCC Boycott this Election 2013 because of Selection System which is unconstitutional and undemocratic. PCC woman leader Ms.Ruham Shah told the team that Selection is not acceptable and not beneficial for minorities’ interests. The representatives who are selected by their respective parties they are spokeman of those political parties not of Minorities Groups. "On security issue Team asked, and Gill told , there is election 2013 in Punjab province of Pakistan where two Political parties Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz PML (N) and Pakistan Tehreek Insaf PTI led by Imran Khan are on run and provided full security to hold public gatherings and rallies while provinces of Sindh, KPK and Balochistan are facing bomb blast and offering funeral services of their workers which is very surprising situation”,it was also told that the security issue is the same for Muslims and other religious minorities of Pakistan. Mr. Gill asked what should be your role for the demand of PCC i.e Election on Minorities Reserved Seats under Dual vote. EU Election Team said they would publish recommendations but they have no right to interfere in Pakistan legislation etc as it is sovereign country. PCC will hold press conferences in different cities and convince to religious minorities to boycott the Election 2013.
