Khanewal: May 28, 2013. (PCP) A few days ago i.e. on April 26th the Voice have reported a case of persecution against Christians in 31/10 R Chak, khanewal, where a Muslim man died as a result of cross fire by the hands of a Christian named Kamran Masih in self-defense. As it was reported by the Voice that two of the nominated Christians were saved by the Voice team. the Voice team was pressurized by the Police whereas the secret agencies of the Police including Regional Police officer(RPO), District Police officer(DPO), and CIA were involved directly and personally in this case. As a result of the pressure and threats to the Voice members i.e. Napolean Qayyum and Khurram Akhtar (because Khurram was also the source person of the Voice in this case) the Voice had to hand over the accused/Victims to the police. The CIA conducted a raid on 2nd May 2013 at Napolean's house and arrested illegally his brother named Naveed. The police detained his brother and threatened the family of Napolean and Khurram that they will also bring their families including women and Children from their houses if they do not help the police to hand over the Victims named Asif Kaleem and Ashar Yaqoob to the Police. the Police also detained the women more than 20 from the Village and from the families of the Victim along with 18 men in the police station in illegal confinement for four days and nights. As a result of which the Voice lawyer Aneeqa Maria along with the team went to Khanewal for the pre-Arrest bails of the victims who are completely innocent in this matter and are involved with malafide intentions of the Muslim radicals. The Voice team inspite of all the threats from the police and the Radicals reached the District khanewal on 2nd May and got the pre-arrest bails from the sessions Judge. After securing them legally The Voice went to the DPO's office for the statements of the Victims i.e. Asif Kaleem and Ashar Yaqoob, the police assured the Voice team that they will let the Victims go after taking their statements, but until now they are illegally confined in the Police station. on the other hand the Voice team is under serious threats from Police, our cell-phones are on tap, and our team members are being followed by the Police agents, the families of TVS team are also under threats and are re-located by us. The police wants us to leave the case and not to interfere in the investigation. Whereas the police is utterly behaving biased, they are not getting the Medicals of the Christian injured in the shootout, nor they are conducting any investigation or registering a case against the Muslim Culprits. the Next date of hearing is 6th May 2012, but the Voice team is receiving threats not to pursue the case. Is there somebody who cares about the legal rights of Christian in Pakistan. there is no one to help and support Christians in dire need, Christians are always treated as cattle and pets. No one considers them humans. Christians are in a battlefield against persecution and injustice. Let's pray for a better decision of Courts and better fate of the Christians confined in police station so that they might not get killed in the Police station as it has been a practice against Christians. Please pray for the voice team especially when they will go to Khanewal on hearing in the session courts so that Lord may protect them and gives them courage and fearlessness against the Evil and Injustice. The Voice Society Report On Incident in Chak 31-10/R Essa Pur, Tehsil/District Khanewal. Police station Katcha Khoh. Khanewal. On 26th April, 2013 at about 2:00pm a source told Khurram Akhtar (Research officer, The Voice) that an incidence of persecution against Christians has happened in Chak 31-10/R Essa pur, where the Muslims have held the Christians for insulting Makkah Sharif, a Mob of Muslims about 50-80 people gathered the house of a Christian family named Albert Masih and started shouting and raising slogans there, " kill these bleady Christians they are liable to be burnt like Badami Bagh". The Voice team comprised of Adv. Aneeqa Maria, Khurram Akhtar, Shahid Anthony and Napolean Qayyum left Lahore to visit the affected Village. The team reached at the village at about 10:00pm. The area was restricted and nobody was allowed to enter the village. A police officer told the Voice team that the whole village is empty and the Christian families have left. The situation is very critical there and there is a call from the Sipa-Sahaba Muslim Ulema community to attack the Christian houses. Therefore people have left but police is there to protect the village. The Voice team came to know from a source that the affected/ persecuted family has taken refuge in another village. The Voice team went ahead to see the family. The TVS team reached there to see the family at about 1:00am. There we met many affected families including Nasir Anjum, Kaleem Masih, and Samuel Sahotra. They told us about the incidence in detail. Nasir Anjum told TVS (The Voice Society) That the situation started became tense after the occurrence of Badami Bagh in Lahore i.e after Jan 2013, the Muslims became livid after the incidence of 295C in Badamiu bagh and planned to wipeout Christians from their towns and villages saying that all Christians are anti-Islamic, they use to insult our Holy Quran and Holy prophet. They do not respect our religion and therefore they should not live in our communities. The Village 31. Chak is comprised of 40 Christian houses, and therefore the Muslims started teasing and harassing Christians. Almost 25 days ago the Muslims started dispute saying that you people lay your weaved beds in the wrong directions. The foot of your bed lays in the direction of Makkah Sharif, which is very insulting and unbearable for us. The argument went manic and the Christians called the police on 15, but the police reached 4hours late. The people from the neighbors settled down the situation. Later when the police came the Muslim group that was creating aggravation excused from the Christians that they were wrong. But then each day afterwards the Muslims named Madd Khan, Aziz Ullah Khan, Javed Khan, Yousaf Khan, Majeeb-Ur- Rehman, Shifa ullah Khan, Sana Ullah khan, Jamshed Ullah Khan, Ajmal Khan, Amin Ullah Khan, Nadeem Khan, Shahid Khan and Adreem Khan started laying eyes upon Christians and do not let go any petty issue to quarrel with the Christians. Kaleem Masih told the Voice that on the day of occurrence the Christian family named Albert Nathenial, his son David Albert, and his relative Samuel Yaqoob were in their house when Madad Khan along with his fellows and sons named above came to their house and started shouting and hitting them with the bricks on the walls of the house that why did you used the thresher of the other party this time when you always use our thresher for cutting the crops. The dispute elevated and turned into a fight. Later Madad Khan and his fellows called their other fellows and the quarrel turned into fierce firing upon the house of the Christians. The Muslims started breaking the doors of the house to enter the house, whereas in the house there were women and children of the family. David and Albert also started throwing bricks from their roof just to save their family. Meanwhile David snatched a gun from one of the attackers but the gun was loaded and it fired a shot due to which a man from the attackers named Yousaf khan died at the spot and another person got severely injured and is in hospital. The police have arrested more than 20 people among them many are injured, the police have registered a Murder case against Christians which is actually a self- Defense and did not proceeded against Muslims. Now the Muslims are consistent that they will bury their dead only when they will burn the Christians and their villages and their families. The Christian families from the villages have escaped and took refuge in Shanti Nagar and other villages around where as the Voice is able to save three nominated people of the FIR under Number 127/13 U/S 302 PPC, because there is every apprehension that if we hand over the people to the police they will be killed.
