Silence of PM, CJ and CM Punjab on naked parade of Christian women condemned

Karachi: June 22, 2013. (PCP) Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC have strongly condemned complete silence of Prime Minister of Pakistan Main Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister of Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif on parading naked three Christian women in a village of district Kasur by Muslim landlord with support of their Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz Group parliamentarian. Dr. Bhatti also expressed concern on silence of Chief Justice of Pakistan Supreme Court Choudhry Iftikhar Mohammad and Chief Justice of Lahore High Court on not taking any notice of inhuman and heinous crime of forcing three Christian women to walk naked after tearing up their clothes and torture in a village of district Kasur by Muslims. According to report published in Pakistan Christian Post on June 6, 2013, Three Christian women Arshad Bibi, Sajida Bibi and Saruyia Bibi were beaten by armed Muslims who entered in their home at about 11: 00 PM while they were sleeping and only 73 years old man Sadiq Masih and his wife Bibi Rani 70 were with them. The Muslim landlords of the village Sereser Chak No.21, Abrahim, Muhammad Rafique, Munir, Ahmad, Asif, Ahmad, Abid, Usman, Waseem, Waqas and Shabir and three unknown persons after beating made them publicly naked and forced them to walk in village streets. Such a inhuman incident was witnessed by dozens of Muslim in village on June 3, 2013 but none courage to safe these Christian women. "Few days ago some goats were entered in the fields of Muslim landlords and they made them locked up in their house. I went to request them to give back my goats but they refused and abused me and slapped at my cheeks in front of many people on which I returned back home," told Shoukat Masih to PCP who is related to Christian victim women. With support of Christian activists of LEAD, case was registered on June 4, 2013, with FIR No.231/13 against the alleged Muslims at Police Station Saddar Pattoki under Sections 452, 354, 337/FI, 149, 148 of PPC, bur no arrest was made. The Saddar Police Station of Pattoki, on pressure of one Pakistan Muslim League PML(N) parliamentarian registered a counter case against Christian women and their family members with FIR No.234/13 under Sections 440, 379, 148, 149 of PPC so that victim Christian women and family may be forced to enter in an outside court compromise. Nazir Bhatti said " Whenever Pakistan Muslim League PML (N) comes in power in Pakistan, the violence against Christian and other religious minorities rises and whenever party of Mian Nawaz enters in power in Punjab, the incidents of Muslim mob attacks on Christian life and property touch its peak" The incidents of burning homes of Christian in Joseph Colony Lahore, Gojra, Korian Village, Bahminwali village in Kasur and village Shanti Nagar took place by Muslim mob during PML (N) governments. The burning of seven Christians alive, gunning down of blasphemy accused Rasheed Brothers in court compound, killing of Pastors, Kidnapping of Christian women and their enforced conversion to Islam and selling them as sex slaves to Muslim men happened during PML (N) government in Punjab while Muslim culprits involved in these incident were set free and none was punished. "The incident of parading Christian women in a village of Kasur takes place only few miles from Lahore where Mian Shahbaz Sharif, Chief Minister of Punjab, claims to "Khadim-e-Alla" failed to take notice and ensure justice to poor Christian women" said Nazir Bhatti PCC Chief said " The Chief Justice of Pakistan Supreme Court of Pakistan and Chief Justice of Punjab High Court also never listen cries of poor and persecuted Christians of Punjab then where this oppressed Christian nation will knock for justice" Dr. Nazir Bhatti demanded immediate arrest of culprits involved in forcing Christian women to parade naked in street of village Kasur and torture on them.
