Kasur: July 20, 2013. (PCP) Over a month after a Muslim landlord allegedly humiliated three Christian women made naked in front of public in Pattoki, High Court has finally taken notice of the matter and directed District and Sessions judge, Kasur to investigate the incident and submit a report within two weeks. The Judge has called the both parties in the court and recorded the statements of the both parties, during the enquiry the Judge scolded and criticized the police who did not perform their duty honestly. The main accused Muhammad Munir gave an affidavit in the court and admitted that the three Christian women were beaten, torn their clothes and made naked in street in front of public.....These are the following contents of affidavit submitted by Muhammad Munir in the Court of District and Session Judge, Kasur during inquiry of the said case FIR No.231/13....Translated Contents of affidavit.... "It is stated ,I am Muhammad Munir Sajid son of Abdul Rashid caste Arain ( Muslim by faith) resident of Village Sereser Chak No. 21 Police Station Saddar Pattoki. I state on oath that I am resident of said address and a farmer by profession. On dated 31 May, 2013 the goats of Shoukat Masih entered and grazed in my crops and destroyed the crops, and I caught the goats and kept in my haveli (place of animal) and when Shoukat came to take back his goats, there was trivial fight between us. And regarding this issue on dated 3 June, 2013 I submitted one complaint application in Police station Saddar Pattoki against him and Police raided about 8 PM at the house of Shoukat Masih and he ran away and Police returned back. I state on oath that about 10/30 PM(Night) Abrahim and Rafique etc who are in relation my uncles along with other accused nominated in the said FIR NO.231/13 came to my house and told me that Shoukat that time fled away to see police party but now he may be at home. Let catch him and after beating we would hand over to Police.I was beguiled by them and we went to Mr. Shoukat's house,the outer door of house was locked inside the house, one accused Mr. Waqas climbed the wall by jumping and entered the house and unlocked the door, and all the accused entered in the house and i was standing outside of the house.I state on oath that as soon as they entered in the house they started shouting to catch Shoukat Masih and beat him and teach him lesson how he dared to confront the landlords. They started searching to Shoukat but in vain then they started beating to women and catching and holding them by their hair took them out from house by dragging into Bazaar (Market) and they tore their clothes and women became naked in front of public. After seeing this scene I fled away from the spot leaving behind the said accused Abrahim etc. I state on oath that I did not enter in the house of Mr. Shoukat Masih and not committed any wrong thing with Christian women rather seeing that the accused persons have crossed the limits, skipped away. The following above stated contents of affidavit are correct to my knowledge and believe and no fact has been concealed, the affidavit has been written so that it can be presented for proof and it can be used when necessary. Dated 15 June, 2013." Today Advocate Sardar Mushtaq Gill,National Director LEAD along with Ms. Ruhama Shaw(President Women Wing PCC Lahore) met the victim family and satisfied them and also Ms. Ruhama financially supported the victim family. LEAD is giving free legal assistance to the Victim family and following the case.
