Canadian Pakistani Christian rally in Montreal against Peshawar Church attack

Montreal: October 14, 2013. (PCP) Pakistani Canadian Christian Community of Montreal, protested at Peel street (Down Town) on Friday 11th October 2013, about the recent barbarous and inhuman incident happened on Sunday 22nd September, 2013 which took place in Peshawar Pakistan where two suicide bomber attack on Church and killed 85 Christians and 150 people injured during the Sunday worship in the Church. Mr.Dawood Masih representative at the demonstration, in his speech said that attack on church was an act of cowardly violence that brutally targeted innocent Christians. Our hearts bleeds with pain and agony. Our properties are being snached and our houses are being burnt. Our women are forced to parade naked in the streets. We strongly condemn the suicide attack on Church in Peshawar Pakistan and we demand from the Government of Pakistan to take serious action to protect Christians in Pakistan. Abolish the law 295C, which is hanging sword on the neck of the Christians. Nasim Akhter from Pakistani Christian Community said that this is not the first time that extremist attack on Christians. Pakistani Christian are subjected to atrocities at the hands of Muslim brothers expressing hatred and this is due to enforcement of blasphemy law. Noshad Sadiqui, James Khokhar and Nizam-u-Din also spoke at the event and condemn the suicide attack on Church in Peshawar Pakistan. At the end, the Consul General of Pakistan Azra Jamali said I know the suicide attacks are going on,we can understand the feelings of Christian brothers and sisters, our hearts also bleeds with tears. I feel sorry that no one is safe in Pakistan. Minorities are being targeted,Every one has the right to live freely, every one is a equal citizen of Pakistan. Even Muhammad Ali Jinnah the founder of Pakistan said in his speech August 11, 1947, You are free: you are free to go to your temples, you are free to go to your mosques or to any other place of worship in this state of Pakistan, you may belong to any religion or caste or creed that has nothing to do with the business of the state- we are starting with this fundamental principle that we are all citizen and equal citizen of one state' Consul General Azra Jamali showed the sympathy and grief over the incident and promise to forward the petition to Federal Government of Pakistan.
