Vatican Message on Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Sahib
USA: November 18, 2013. (PCP) WSC-AR received a message from the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue on the birth anniversary of the Siri Guru Nanak Sahib, the first Sikh Guru. The Sikh community across the world is celebrating this joyous and blessed occasion. The message from the Vatican said “Being convinced of our own respective religious teachings and conscious of our individual and shared responsibility towards the society that we are all part of, may we, Sikhs and Christians, joining hands with others, promote a culture of friendship and solidarity to build a just, peaceable and habitable world.” The message was issued in English and Panjabi.
