Nisar Khuhro, Ghinwa Bhutto and Qadir Magsi visit Hindu Dharmshala set on blaze by Muslim mob

LARKANA: March 17, 2014. (By Nazir Siyal) Political and religious parties, members of civil society, the office-bearers of professional and trade bodies on Monday visited Dharmshala set on fire by alleged Taliban arsonists in Larkana on Sunday. It was expressed by some sources that members of some nationalist parties rushed to the area as soon as they received the news of attack on Saturday night and cordoned off the area to protect the temple from the arsonists. The delegations affirmed that they all are united and this shows Sindh’s spirit of tolerance has not died. However, it has been wounded in a fire ignited by anti-Sindh forces. On the occasion, Chairperson PPP Shaheed Bhutto Ghinwa Bhutto expressed that sympathy with the leaders of Pooj Hindu Panchayat. Talking to media men Ghinwa Bhutto “said that Sindh is soil of sofis and saints, there is no room for extremism and fundamentalism, Hindu community are living in Sindh since centuries, they are sons of soil, we should respect the religion of each other”. Ghinwa Bhutto it was well engineered conspiracy to trigger religious conflict in Larkana and other parts of country, but Muslim and Hindu community rejected. She said that Hindu community is contributing great services for the development of Sindh and country, if any individual is found involvement in incident, should be awarded punishment to him only, not his other family members, attack on worship places is deplorable and condemnable act, Ghinwa said. on the occasion Chairperson PPP SB Ghinwa Bhutto presented Rs 0.2 million to leaders of Hindu Panchayat and extended her full support. Advocate Kalpna Devi Chairperson Hindu Panchayat Larkana, Dr Dharam Paal, Professor Vijay Kumar, Dr Sadh Ram, Dr Wali Ram and others were present. Meanwhile Chairman Sindh Tarqi Passand Party Dr Qadir Magsi alsi visited the Hindu Dharamshalla and Temple and expressed his sympathy over the incident, he said incident has really hurt to even Muslims over the attack on worship places of Hindu community who are part and parcel of this sacred Sindh soil, he expressed these views while talking to journalists during his visit. Dr Magsi said that incident proved the failure of present government in Sindh because it is prime responsibility of rulers to protect the minorities’ rights. Dr Qadir Magsi demanded the judicial inquiry under the supervision of Session Judge to probe into incident and submit the findings and expose the real hands behind the incident, otherwise committees formation is formality. While other, Senior Minister for education Nisar Ahmed Khuhro presided over a high level meeting at circuit house Larkana regarding prevailing law and order situation of city after incident of desecration of some pages of holy Quran by accused belonging Hindu community. The meeting was attended by Religious scholars of different organizations, Police officials, representatives of district administration and civil society. Senior Minister Nisar Ahmed Khuhro was briefed DIG Larkana Khadim Hussain Rind about the incident and law and order problem in Larkana city after the mob attacks on worship places and torching of temple on Sunday night. Meeting strongly condemned the incident and termed it deplorable, demanded the exemplary punishment to involved culprits behind the incidents. Nisar Ahmed Khuhro addressing said that “ we will unveil the conspiracies and criminal elements behind the incidents, adding that all security measures are being taken to ensure the protection of all citizens and worship places, strict action will be taken against the culprits, Provincial Minister said that it was a big conspiracy and bid to trigger the Muslim and Hindu clashes in Larkana and other parts of country, which was foiled by citizens On the occasion Nisar Ahmed Khuhro constituted another investigation committee under supervision of SSP and DC Larkana which will probe into incident and submit the finding report to higher authorities. MNA Muhammad Ayaz Soomro and MNA Ramesh Lal had formed the committee on Sunday at circuit house during peace committee meeting comprising Police and on two people each from Muslims and Hindu community. Later Nisar Ahmed Khuhro along with concerned officials visited the city and reviewed the law and order situation and expressed satisfaction over the performance of local administration. DIG Larkana Khadim Hussain Rind, Commissioner Larkana Dr Saeed Ahmed Magnejo, SSP Larkana Khalid Mustafa Korai, Deputy Commissioner Larkana Ghanwar Ali Leghari, leaders of different religious organizations and others were present.
