Lahore: March 18, 2014. (PCP) A Christian girl named Sobia Masih aged 19, was kidnapped and sold as a sex slave to another influential Muslim of Muzaffargrah. Sobia Masih was kidnapped by one Mohammad Adil Zulifiqar from Dera Ghazi Khan City which is remote district head quarter of Punjab province. According to World Vision in Progress WVIP, a renowned Non-Governmental organization, working for persecuted Christians in Pakistan, Sharif Masih who is father of Sobia Masih approached WVIP office and asked for help and support to recover their daughter. Sharif Masih told WVIP that Sobia Masih not returned home on March 11, 2014, when she went to work in house of Mohammad Adil Zulifqar, where his wife Rani Bibi was working as maid but she was sick on that day. Sharif Masih have family of seven while his job as a sanitary worker was not enough to make two ends meet, so, her wife was also cleaning homes and Sobia Masih was helping her but still their life was miserable below poverty line. On March 11, 2014, Sobia went alone to clean home of Mohammad Adil Zulifqar who owns a workshop in Choti Zareen in Dera Gazi Khan but not returned home till evening on which Sharif Masih and his wife Rani Bibi went to house of Mohammad Adil Zulfiqar but house was locked. On enquiring from neighbors, they told that Mohammad Adil family left for Lahore yesterday and this afternoon he also gone to Lahore with your daughter and friends. Sharif Masih and Rani Bibi went to police station to lodge report of kidnapping of their daughter Sobia Masih but police denied to register their report but alleged that their daughter is run away from home and Mohammad Adil Zulifqar is a respectable Muslim of locality. When, Sharif Masih and Rabni Bibi were madly searching for their daughter Sobia Masih, they received call from Mohammad Adil Zulfiqar that Sobia Masih has accepted religion Islam and he has married with her. When, Ejaz Hussain, WVIP field Officer, who also hails from Dera Ghazi Khan, approached to the local Political leadership and requested them for help. On March 16, 2014, Mohammad Adil Zulifiqar was track down by WVIP team which reached hiding place of Mohammad Adil Zulfiqar along with local political and social leadership where he was alone and Sobia Masih was not found. On begging and out cries of Sharif Masih and Rani Bibi to produce their daughter before Muslim leaders in presence of Mohammad Adil Zulifiqar; he said “ Sobia Masih is Muslim now and his wife but not present here nor he can produce her but she will be available to record her statement before Muslim elders when deemed fit” Whereas Muhammad Dildar a close friend of Mohammad Adil Zulifqar told Ejaz Hussain, field officer of WVIP that Mohammad Adil Zulifqar have sold Sobia Masih to a rich man in Muzaffargarh. The WVIP team along with Muhammad Dildar and local Social worker Nabi Muhammad will be visiting Muzaffargarh shortly. This is not the first time when Christian girls are sold out, Tania Rebecca, Parvisha , Sonia and now Sobia, there is long line of Christian girls who have been abducted, forcibly converted to Islam and sold as sex slaves to influential Muslims.
