Lahore: March 24, 2014. (PCP) District and Session Judge Ghulam Murtaza reserved judgment after hearing arguments from prosecutor and accused lawyers in blasphemy victim Savan Masih case here today.
Due to security reasons, the proceeding of the court took place in Lahore jail where Savan Masih is detained from 2011, when Joseph Colony was attacked by Muslim mob and more than 60 homes of Christians were set on fire.
As CLAAS has informed that Savan Masih Blasphemy case hearing was fixed today in the court for the final arguments of the lawyers in the trial. Today Mr. Naeem Shakir Advocate Supreme Court of Pakistan and Mr. Tahir Bashir Advocate high Court were present in the court of learned Session’s Judge Ghullam Murtiza who heard the arguments from both parties at about 11:30 for about 45 minutes and adjourned the court till 2:00 pm for the verdict.
But he did not give the verdict as the decision of the court has been reserved till March 27, 2014.
