SUKKUR/LARKANA: October 3, 2014. (Nazir Siyal) Senior Minister for Education Nisar Ahmed Khuhro has said that the stipend distribution will enhance the better quality education and proper enrolment in the government schools, which resulting rebuilding of public sector educational environment particularly. Speaking in a distribution ceremony of stipend ATM Cards to female students of Class XI to class X at Government Girls High School Sukkur and Government Girls High School Larkana here on Friday. The Provincial Minister Education further said that Sindh government and the education department will pay as stipend Rs.2500 per to urban female student and Rs.3500 per to rural female student through ATM and easy paisa facilities he adding that it is necessary to encourage our female students, so that they would continue their studies ahead after completion of their primary education and do not waste their precious time sitting at homes. In this connection, he further said that again there is huge responsibility implies on our teachers and parents to play their role in the encouragement of this national cause. Nisar Khuhro in Larkana distributed 2769 stipend ATM cards out 22785 among girl students and said that the objective of this scheme was to proper support of girls education in province and socio-economic development in remote areas of Sindh district. He said it will take time to understand new educational policy and acceptance by public. He also told that the education department has established 15 complain cell in this regard to address the issues and public grievances relating to the new educational policies he said. Talking about the closed schools in Sindh province, Khuhro said that he feels grief and shame over the closed schools, which depicts a prevailing condition of education system in Sindh. He strictly directed all Directors in the education department to play their role to concrete efforts for re-opening closed schools in Sindh he said. To a question, about Larkana public gatherings by PTI leader Imran Khan, he said Khan has learnt the lesson from Pakistan Peoples Party at grass root to hold mammoth public gatherings in various parts of country, while in Larkana he will face difficulties and alleged that he collects all Lotas in his party, above all he is too Lotaa. Nisar Khuhro further said Khan is copying the PPP struggle, but we will prove in 18th October 2014 in a huge public gathering at Karachi, which will be a historical record and beginning of political career of young Bilawal Bhutto and the day of protection of democracy in country he said. He said 18th October Shaheed Benazir Bhutto arrived in Pakistan to save the democracy of Pakistan and once Bilawal Bhutto will address the public gathering. Khurho said 0.4 million students of class 6th to 10th will get stipend by the Sindh Education program. On the occasion, Director Education Larkana region Ahsan Ahmed Soomro, Principal and teachers were among the distribution ceremony participated. Senior Provincial Minister for Education Nisar Ahmed Khuhro has said that following the vision of Shaheed Mohtarama Benazir Bhutto, the Sindh government is taking all the necessary steps for the promotion of the education throughout the province. Here on Friday, the Senior Minister said that Sindh government is a public friendly government and it is our duty to provide education to all the children of the province. In this connection, he said, the Sindh government and the provincial Education department have decided to pay stipends to 4 lac female students of class XI to class X to encourage their education purpose and the will. While talking about the data of stipends in Sukkur division, Nisar Ahmed Khuhro said that 4,00,000 female students throughout the Sindh province will be awarded stipends including 25875 of Khairpur district, 22245 of Naushahroferoze district, 16059 of Sukkur district and 10083 of Ghotki district through successful strategy through ATM cards and easy paisa facility. He further said that that Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has already directed regarding open closed schools and to encourage the education standard in Sindh Province. He said that evening shifts will also be started with recruitment of female teachers on merit basis and added that it is because of the promotion of education in Sindh that P.S.T, J.S.T and H.S.Ts are being recruited on meritorious basis after conducting tests through NTS. Furthermore, Provincial Minister said that Sindh Government has made education free of cost with provision of free books all over the province to encourage the education objective amongst our children. He said that following the ideology of our leader Shaheed Mohtarama Benazir Bhutto, the Sindh Government is providing skill trainings to our youngsters through youth development program and stipend to our poor class through Benazir Income support program to support them financially. On the occasion, MNA Nauman Islam Shaikh, Chief Program Manager RSP Saba Mehmood, Director Schools education Sukkur Zaib-un-Nisa Mangi and Director easy paisa Muhammad Gufran also addressed the ceremony.
