LARKANA: October 23, 2014. (Nazir Siyal) 3rd death anniversary of Madr-e-Jhamoriat Begum Nusrat Bhutto, wife of former Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and mother of former slain chairperson Benazir Bhutto was observed here in Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto on Thursday.
On the occasion, Quran Khawani was arranged at Mausoleum at Bhutto house Naudero for peace of departed soul, the party leadership paid glowing tributes to Nusrat Bhutto, saying that services of Begum Sahiba would be remembered forever. "Madr-e-Jamhuriat Begum Nusrat Bhutto was a national asset who personally led from the front a heroic struggle for the restoration of democracy in the country."
Begum Nusrat Bhutto was born in 1929 in Isfahan Iran. Before migrating to Pakistan she was educated at the University of Isfahan, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Humanities in 1950.
She served two terms as a Member of Parliament to the National Assembly from the constituency of Larkana Sindh. Begum Nusrat Bhutto rose to political prominence in the late 1970s and early 1980s, when she led protests and demonstrations against military dictatorships and the nation lovingly started calling her Madar-e-Jamhuriat.'
Meanwhile, Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has condemned the religious fascists over their personal and political gains and made possible laws given by Zia regime. PPP will not alliance or coalition in Sindh Government after general election of 2018.
Addressing on the eve of 3rd death anniversary of Madr-e-Jhamoriat Begum Nusrat Bhutto at Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto, Bilawal said, she rendered unprecedented sacrifices for the revival of democracy and struggled for the rights of masses.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said the PPP will not alliance any more or coalition in Sindh Government, but they will form their own Sindh government to strengthen further democracy. He said the religious fascists, who after conquering Punjab with evil designs now travels to Sindh and they want take away the rights of poor and non-Muslims in the name of religion.
Bilawal repeats his words Marvaysun Marvaysun Sindh na Diasu. Marsu Marsu Jinnah ka Pakistan na Daisu during the gathering of Hindu community on Deewali at Naudero House.
He said in country the status quo politicians do not stand up and speak before the people and democracy, this discriminatory treatment of the minorities will not be repeated in Pakistan, they will together build a safe, prosperous and enlightened Pakistan."
Bilawal said the alliance with the MQM was for the sake of democracy and legislation, adding that the PPP would no more need their support in the 2018 general elections.
The PPP chairman further said "during Nawaz government my father was kept behind the bar for 12 years and brutally tortured in Jail but despite of that we embraced them for sack of democracy" added that if the party wanted even the lion would go running scared. "If we would have taken out a long march, the lion would have become a cat," Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said.
Chairman PPP Bilawal said the PPP's power was people and the party could use them but was not hungry to come into power. Bilawal added that the PPP was ready to talk to all political parties for democracy.
Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari stated that democracy is our belief and PPP has rendered so many sacrifices for democracy, he paid glowing tribute to late Begum Nusrat Bhutto on her great struggle on confronting dictators for reviving democracy in country, she united the PPP during government of dictator Zia ul Haq , this day is a day of democracy, he said.
Later Bilawal Bhutto Zardari along with party leaders visited the Hindu Dharamshala and met with leaders of Hindu Panchat and other poor Hindu families, he distributed the sweets and cash among children on eve of Diwali,
On the occasion, he condemned incident which was occurred in Larkana Hindhu Dharam Sahla, few months back. He said other Political Parties have ignored Non-Muslims Community, PPP is party of poor people which protect the rights of citizens particularly minorities, he said.
During the arrival of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, he was warmly welcomed by Hindhu Panchait Chairperson Advocate Kalpna Devi and others Hindhu Community Leaders.
On the occasion, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was presented Sindhi traditional gifts Ajrak and Topi by Hindhu Panchait Chairperson Advocate Kalpna Devi.
