Islamabad: October 31, 2014. (PCP) Former Federal Minister and Convener World Minorities Alliance Mr. J Salik has said that the nominal electoral reforms are not acceptable at any cost because the real reform in electoral system is the need of time.
He said that the major problem in present electoral system is that the election of minorities is vanished which is a worst injustice with minorities and without the solution of this problem the electoral reforms are meaningless. He said that it’s not only the most miserable cruelty with minorities but it’s also the violation of Article 226 of constitution as according to article 226 no seat can be filled without secret ballot paper but 7o seats are present in our National Assembly which are with violation of 226 among them 10 minority seats and 60 seats of women are unconstitutional.
He said that this is the reason that assemblies are bogus and they are not showing any progress and being humiliated from last 3 tenures. He said that as this issue is acute so the solution of it, is mandatory to bring every citizen on level of equality to vanish the inferiority complex from our country.
