Karachi: November 5, 2014. (PCP) Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC have said in a statement that justice cannot be ensured to Christian couple burnt alive on accusation of blasphemy when Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz Group PML (N) is ruling Pakistan and Punjab province because when 8 Christian were burnt alive by Muslim mob in Gojra then same Chief Minister of Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif awarded promotion to police officers who closed their eyes when Muslim extremists were setting on fire homes of Christians.
According to sources of Pakistan Christian Post, the First Information Report FIR has been lodged in case of burning of Shahzad Masih and Shama Bibi but no one is charged yet till filing this story.
A Christian couple Shahzad Masih-Shama Bibi was burnt alive in furnace of brick kiln in district Kasur over a dispute of advance loan taken from owner of brick kiln factory who later alleged that Christian couple of desecrated pages of Quran to punish them which ended in death by burning.
Dr. Nazir Bhatti said that Chief Minister of Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif and Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Nawaz Sharif have been providing safe haven to Islamic extremists in Punjab province of Pakistan and they will protect killers of Shahzad Masih and Shama Bibi also as they protected Muslim attackers of Gojra, Korian, Joseph colony and other parts of Punjab.
PCC chief said that substandard implementation of blasphemy laws will damage solidarity in integrity of Islamic Republic of Pakistan where Mir Shakeel Ur Rehman who is chief of one media house, Syed Khurshid shah who is leader of opposition in National Assembly of Pakistan and other famous artists accused of blasphemy walk free but Christians face death sentence and imprisonment.
Dr. Nazir Bhatti said “Christians are not safe in Pakistan when Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz Group PML (N) is governing Pakistan where majority of Christians are living from centuries”
PCC chief urged liberal Muslim political parties to raise voice to repeal blasphemy laws and appealed EU and USA to condition aid to Pakistan on human rights.
