Karachi: November 8, 2014. (PCP) Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC has expressed reservations on registration of First Information Report FIR by Police in brutal murder of Christian Couple Shahzad Masih and Shama Bibi who were burnt alive by Muslim mob on accusation of desecration of Quran on November 4, 2014, because one Police Officer who represent Punjab government is complainant in FIR not parents of Shahzad Masih or Shama Bibi who are alive and legally competent party to be complainant in FIR. Nazir Bhatti said “Why Government of Punjab want to be a complainant in First Information Report FIR lodged by Police instead of father of Shahzad Masih or mother of Shama Bibi who are alive and wanted to nominate murderer of their son and daughter? It has created doubts among Christians that Government of Punjab not wants free and fair enquiry in brutal murder and plans to protect Muslim culprits” In a press note here today issued by Central Secretariat of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC, its alleged that with filing of FIR as a police officer to be a complainant the government of Punjab have protected Yousaf Gujjar, owner of Brick Kiln Factory, and his staff who are main accused in murder of Shahzad Masih and Shama Bibi, who were bonded laborers of Yousaf Gujjar and he along with Muslim staff incited public and accused victims of burning of pages of Quran. Dr. Nazir Bhatti said that postmortem or DNA is very important in any murder case to punish culprits but in FIR of murder of Shahzad Masih and Shama Bibi which is missing when DNA is possible from remains and teeth of victims which police and Punjab government has ignored or denied to safe culprits. PCC Chief has demanded registration of First Information Report FIR on complaint of family member of Shahzad Masih and Shama Bibi to ensure justice instead of police officer on behalf of State. Nazir Bhatti feared that Shahbaz Sharif, Chief Minister of Punjab plans to safe Muslim culprits who are voters of his party Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz Group PML (N) by making state to be complainant in FIR. Shabaz Sharif as a Chief Minister of Punjab made safe to Muslim extremists who burnt alive 8 Christian children, women and elder in Gojra in 2009. No one was punished in Gojra carnage due to registration of FIR in which State was complainant also like this sad and horrific incident.
