Islamabad: December 10, 2014. (PCP) Convener World Minorities Alliance and Former Federal Minister J Salik wrote a letter to newly elected Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan Justice Sardar Raza Khan and congratulate him on being Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan. The text of his letter is as follows.
Dear Mr. Justice Sardar Raza Khan
Hope you are enjoying good health and wonderful life. First of all I want to congratulate you on being Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan. I hope you that you will work on Article 226 of constitution first f all as we consider you as unbiased, lawful and democratic person and people have great trust and hope for justice .
Actually problem started when the 17th amendment in constitution took place, I challenged that in Supreme Court of Pakistan but unfortunately the court gave us date of hearing after Election’s date. Then I tried to approach Islamic Sharia Court, the court made “Full Bench” for hearing of the case and this time one judge of bench didn’t appear, court ordered for the formation of another full bench again and unfortunately it couldn’t be possible to made full bench even after three years. Then I took my application back to record my protest that no one can have justice in our country, the court demanded my black and white statement and after submission of my written statement the court returned my application within one year. The height of senselessness is that the same ordinance became Law (Black Law) in eighteenth amendment.
The experience of injustice is not very new; the first law minister of Pakistan Mr. Joginder Nath Mundel resigned in 1950 from his ministry just because he realized that no one from minority can get justice here in Pakistan, some important steps from government at that time could change the situation completely.
