Slain PPP Chief Benazir Bhutto’s 7th death anniversary will be observed

LARKANA: December 26, 2014. (By Nazir Siyal) Former President of Pakistan and Co-chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Asif Ali Zardari along with her daughter Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari visited the Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto and laid floral wreaths on graves of founder PPP Shaheed Zulifqar Ali Bhutto, former Prime Minister of Pakistan and slain Chairperson PPP Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and offered Fateha. Asif Ali Zardari also visited the graves of Begum Nusrat Bhutto, Shaheed Mir Murtaza Bhutto and Shaheed Mir Shahnawaz Bhutto placed floral wreaths on their graves and offered fateha. On the occasion, strict security arrangements were made, the people inside Bhutto mausoleum were asked to vacate the mausoleum immediately by the police. While other, hundreds rally of old PPP workers of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) led by veteran leader Dr. Safdar Abbasi from Valeed Larkana to Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto to offer Fateha on the Mazar of Benazir Bhutto and others on the occasion. The 7th death anniversary of slain Pakistan Peoples Party Chairperson Benazir Bhutto will be observed (today) here at Naudero and Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto on Saturday, December 27, 2014 amid tight security arrangements with 700 police, Rangers and commandos after Wall-chalking, carrying the name of militant group Islamic State (IS) appeared in Larkana a day before. The wall-chalking appeared in a youth hostel located in Sachal Colony on the eve of 7th death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto, she was martyred in a terrorist attack in Rawalpindi on 27th December 2007. In Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto and Naudero, 7000 policemen and commandos including 300 policewomen and rangers will be deployed to provide foolproof security to the workers, leaders, supporters and sympathizers of PPP for observing 27th death anniversary event. All arrangements have been completed to observe the seventh death anniversary of assassinated Chairperson of PPP and former prime minister, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto here at Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto on December 27. Walkthrough gates will be installed at all the entry points and all participants will be physically checked for which a detailed security plan has already been devised. As many as 200 check posts have also been established along all the routes leading to Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto town where police patrolling has been intensified. Senior police officers monitoring throughout by watch tower and sniffing dogs as well and aerial monitoring of all participants, CCTV camera will also be installed in Naundero and around the Bhutto mausoleum. The traffic policemen deployed to ensure smooth flow of traffic during the event and control room has also been established by police to monitor the situation and keep vigil on the performance of security personnel. On the occasion, Bomb Disposal squad, bomb detectors, scanners, jammers, sniffer dogs, 45 walk through gates with police vehicles and mobile units are put alert in place for security purpose. In this regard medical and welcome camps and 60 fire fighting vehicles deployed at various locations. The medical team along with equipped mobile hospitals and ambulance services provided to serve the public told the officials.
