Karachi: February 23, 2015. (PCP) According to press note issued by Central Secretariat of Pakistan Christian PCC an appeal of PCC Chief Dr. Nazir S Bhatti have invited immediate attention of UNHRC, IRC and International NGO,s to provide medical assistance to Mr. Jarvas Jerry, a Pakistani Christian asylum seeker in Bangkok who is seriously ill and waiting for help to save his life.
“When he came to Bangkok, he was well. But due to the troubles here he got many problems. Today he is in the hospital fighting with his illness. In order to heal his illness, he has knocked on every NGO,s door but nobody has responded to his plead. Is it that being an asylum seeker is a sin? In this way an asylum seeker has passed away previously. My request is that all NGO,s help him. Please listen to plight of every asylum seekers who are looking toward Jesus for help please pray for Jarvas Jerry” writes another asylum seeker from Bangkok to Pakistan Christian Post who is also sick and seeking medical support.
Nazir Bhatti said “its moral obligation of UNHRC to provide medical assistance to registered asylum seeker but hundreds of Pakistani Christian asylum seekers are under severe mental stress on no provision of education of their children and none of financial assistance which is causing different medical issues among asylum seekers but not UNHRC, IRC or any International non-governmental organization is paying any attention which is very serious issue against human rights and rights of displaced people”
Nazir Bhatti urged human right organizations to step forward to provide medical assistance to Jarvas Jerry to safe his life and other mentally and physically sick Pakistani Christian asylum seekers.
There are more than 9,000 Pakistani Christian asylum seekers in Thailand, 3,000 in Malaysia and more than 4,000 in Sri Lanka who fled from Pakistan to safe their lives after persecution and constitutional genocide of Christians in Pakistan.
