New York: March 15, 2015. (PCP) Pakistani Christian Diaspora in New York and Philadelphia has expressed grave concern on safety and security of Christian in Pakistan after twin suicide bomb blasts in two churches in Lahore. The Pakistani Christian Association in America based in New York has strongly condemned Church attack in a statement issued by its Chairman Mr. William Shahzad and other Directors. Dr. Nazir S Bhatti President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC and human right activists Mr. Pervaiz Sadiq, Ch. Rashid Akhter and other civil society members of Pakistani American from Philadelphia have condemned attacks of Churches and demanded arrest of all involved in sad incident which took 15 lives and injured more than 80. Mr. Peter Bhatti Chairman of ICV based in Toronto Canada in his statement said “On this Sunday morning, we are yet again faced with the tragic news about two church suicide bombings in Youhanabad, Lahore, Pakistan. International Christian Voice strongly condemns the massacres of this attack and insists the government of Pakistan to take strong action. Enough is enough. The Christians of Pakistan can no longer continue to be massacred on a regular basis especially during their time of worship. This is absolutely unacceptable and something needs to be done to bring the culprits to justice. 14 people have been reportedly killed while 75 others have been injured during the attacks on a Catholic Church and Christ Church. Not too long ago there was a huge attack on All Saints Church in Peshawar and now two churches have been attacked in the same manner. This proves the government’s failure to protect its citizens. Such attacks should not be taking place on a regular basis. Please pray for the Christians of Pakistan at this time. They are in dire need of our prayers and support. May they continue to hold on to their faith in Jesus during this extremely difficult time” Mr. Raymond Wallace Durrani President of Pakistan Christian Congress Canada Chapter and Mr. Pervez Iqbal of Holland Chapter of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC have also condemned suicide bombing attack on Churches in Lahore.
