Christian organizations condemn attack on Churches

Faisalabad: March 15, 2015. (PCP) Human Rights Focus Pakistan (HRFP) , Global Human Rights Defense (GHRD) , Coalition for the Rights of Minorities Pakistan (CRMP) and REAT Network Pakistan condemned the series of brutal attacks on Youhana-abad Churches in Lahore ( Punjab ) , Pakistan. The inhuman violence goes on and on to happen against the Christian minority of Pakistan. Conventionally the Government authorities are failed in protecting the worship places of religious minorities in Pakistan. The President of Human Rights Focus Pakistan (HRFP), Mr. Naveed Walter declared this incident as a total failure and big security laps of the security agencies. He recorded the statement that until now 15 casualties and more than 68 people is severely injured. Naveed Walter said that the amount of casualties and injuries has been continuously increasing. He further expressed grieved and disappointment upon the non-compliance of the verdict given by Supreme Court of Pakistan in June 2014 to ensure the protection of worship places of religious minorities by forming special task force. He said 10 months has passed but the implementation of that notice is still under question. Naveed Walter concluded that Government of Pakistan should seriously undertake pragmatic steps both in letters & spirit to safe guard the existence of all religious minorities of Pakistan; otherwise the religious minorities may go for civil dis-obedience movement. The minorities and human rights groups decided for 3 days mourn throughout the Pakistan, he added more.
