Hyrbyair says Pakistan condemnation of Sabeen killing big lie

London: April 29, 2015. (By Ahmar Mustikhan) Exiled Baloch patriotic leader Hyrbyair Marri has said Pakistan is trying to deceive the world by condemning the killing of Karachi-based human rights defender Sabeen Mahmud in Karachi Friday.. In a statement from London Tuesday, Marri said, “The statements of Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and military spokesperson Asim Bajwa condemning the killing of Human Rights activist Sabeen Mahmud are nothing but an attempt to deceive the international community into believing that the state intelligence agencies are not involved in brutal murder of Ms. Mahmud.” He said the blatant denial of by the military doesn't surprise us [the Baloch] because they have been in denial about their crimes against humanity in Balochistan since 1948 when they illegally occupied the independent state of Balochistan. “To this day their genocidal policies in Balochistan continue unabated but they have learnt the art of cunningness, treachery and denial to conceal their crimes,” he said. In the past Pakistan’s DeepState had denied knowledge where Osama bin Laden was even though he was housed next door to the Pakistan Military Academy allegedly by the very same Inter-Services Intelligence which is widely suspected of being involved in Ms Mahmud’s killing. Bruce Riedel, one of the few Americans on Massachusetts Avenue in Washington DC – where key think-tanks are housed—in an eye-opening article for Brookings, wrote, “In 2007, a former Pakistani ambassador and I were attending a conference in Doha. I asked where the ambassador thought bin Laden was hiding. The ambassador said probably in a safe house built by the ISI inside a military compound.” In fact a senior Pakistani journalist had told this journalist the same thing more than eight years before bin Laden’s capture. Some Americans in Washington DC call Pakistan a “kleptocracy” – a state run on lies. Marri, who is a former communication and works minister, said Sharif and Bajwa’s denials show that the Pakistani state and its military don’t have the moral courage and decency to accept their violent acts against Baloch people and supporter of Balochistan who raise their voice against human rights violations. “Sabeen dared to listen to the truth – the Baloch side of the story – for which she was brutally killed,” he said. “But, for how long Pakistan will terrorize people and stop them from hearing and sharing the truth about Balochistan?”
