Islamabad: May 5, 2015. (PCP) Patron-in-chief Pakistan Hindu Council and Member National Assembly Dr. Ramesh Kumar Vankwani has expressed his satisfaction on the report submitted by the KPK Government to the Supreme Court in which it was stated that the provincial Government has successfully started the restoration and reconstruction of the Samadhi (Shrine) of Hindu Saint, Shri Param Hans Ji Maharaj. Additional Advocate General KPK Waqar Ahmed Khan has presented the compliance report on Tuesday. "A long standing religious, sensitive dispute of reconstruction of Hindu Samadhi at Teri district Karak is finally undertaken in light of August Supreme Court of Pakistanjudgement on May 01, 2015, under heavy deployment of police in the supervision of district administration," said the draft of report, which was signed by the Deputy Commissioner, Karak. Talking to media outside the Supreme Court, Dr. Ramesh Vankwani termed this step as victory of good over evil, saying that attacks against minorities, which result in social unrest, insecurity, violence and frustration, remain the key internal threats Pakistan is facing today. He hoped that the shrine will once again be open for pilgrims, adding that a delegation of Pakistan Hindu Council will visit there in coming days to review the situation. Dr. Ramesh had invited the attention of the Supreme Court to the frequent incidents of desecration of Hindu temples in the country, especially illegal occupation of Shri Param Hans Ji Maharaj’s Samadhi in Teri village of Karak district and during the last hearing, the Supreme Court had directed the KP government to restore and preserve the temple, and present the compliance report within fifteen days.
