Islamabad: May 21, 2015. (PCP) Pakistan Hindu Council, the representative body of Hindu community residing across the country, has shown extreme anger on the baseless sensational "breaking news", broadcasted by a private television channel Samaa News, against the wife of its patron-in-chief and minority MNA, Dr. Ramesh Kumar Vankwani, and appealed the PEMRA Chairman Kamal uddin Tipu for taking action against this condemnable act.
Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, Dr. Ramesh Kumar Vankwani has made clear that the polio vaccine scandal was emerged in January 2013 and February 2014, before the appointment of his wife as Deputy Program Manager, emphasizing that his wife joined in August 2014 and decided to left charge in April 2015. "Highly-educated well qualified minorities have lot of contributions on their portfolio for the progress and betterment of the country but unfortunately they are being targeted through different ugly tactics," he regretted.
Private TV Samaa News, in its so-called breaking news, has claimed that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has decided to arrest wife of Dr. Ramesh Kumar Vankwani in the Polio Vaccine Scandal, which Dr. Ramesh termed as example of "sensational and yellow journalism".
Dr. Ramesh, while talking to reporters, denied all such baseless reports. saying that till today no FIR has been lodged against his wife, who being an educated woman and minority is a target by vested elements.
"This is 3rd intentional attempt by the Samaa News to attack on minorities and Pakistan Hindu Council reserves the rights to take legal action," Dr. Ramesh said, in the context of providing TV anchorship to a hooligan in the PIA flight issue and previously-broadcasted fabricated news item against his wife to be appointed in the Grade 20.
