Karachi: June 13, 2015. (PCP) “Pakistan government urged to release Asia Bibi and all other accused behind bars under blasphemy law and to form Joint Investigation Team JIT comprising of Inter-Services Intelligence ISI, Military Intelligence MI, Intelligence Bureau of Pakistan IB, Director General Federal Investigation Agency FIA, Secretary Law Division, government of Pakistan, Secretary Interior Division of government of Pakistan, members of Civil Society of Pakistan, representatives of families of victims of blasphemy law under chairmanship of retired or acting justice of Supreme Court of Pakistan to re-investigate all First Information Reports FIR lodged in police stations of Pakistan on blasphemy laws to bring facts on ground and to punish complainant in such case if proved that reports were lodged on hate, business rivalries and petty disputes if Pakistan wish to present its image as enlightened democrat state among International community” said Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC in a statement issued here today from Central Secretariat of PCC. Dr. Nazir Bhatti said “Groups of Islamic extremists in Pakistan are using blasphemy laws as weapon against religious minorities in Pakistan which have damaged image of Pakistan on International Forums and violator of religious freedom and human rights because government have totally failed to stop misuse of blasphemy laws” Asia Bibi, a Christian mother of 5, was sentence to death on accusation of blasphemy in 2010 and waiting for his appeals behind bar like many other blasphemy law victims who’s cases were registered without any investigations. Asia Bibi was arrested under blasphemy when arguments arises among Muslim women workers and Asia Bibi on drinking water in same cup in which berry picking Muslim women in fields as in Pakistan hate in religion is such high limits that a Christian (an Infidel) cannot drink or eat in utensils in use of Muslim. Asia Bibi have serious health issues while she is kept in solitary confinement in a small cell of Multan Jail from years and medical assistance from any hospital is denied to her. Asia Bibi,s appeal is pending in Supreme Court of Pakistan against decision to uphold her death sentence from Lahore High Court. The Islamabad High Court gave relief to a killer by removing his one death sentence on charges of terrorism who opened fire on Governor Salman Taseer in Islamabad when on his security duty. The appeal of a killer Muslim is accepted for regular hearings in Supreme Court of Pakistan but a Christian women’s appeal is still in pending. Nazir Bhatti demanded immediate release of Asia Bibi and to reinvestigate her case from due JIT along with other cases of blasphemy victims.
