Christian advocate wins case to build Church near Mosque in Pakistan

Toba Tek Sing: July 22, 2015. (PCP) In village No. 251 GB Oggi, Toba Tek Singh we witnessed our church building was saved! The Christians started building a home church in the free area of their house to which the Muslim community objected just because they had mosque on the back side of the church building few feet away. The worse situation is that the village people (Muslim Community) moved an application against the construction of this home church that they do not want church near mosque and the official authority entertained this application when The Constitution of Pakistan clearly defines and states that all religious minorities have their legal right to practice their religion or creed freely. The Christians are being forced to convert to Islam too and pray as everyone in the village prays and not in a different way. Advocate Sadaf Saddique, Shahzad Fateh, Ayub Anjam and Sikandar Ishaq of Christian community helped the poor Christian communities and represented the case in the court to defend the cause. The interesting situation is that Islam itself gives complete freedom and there is no such thing as forced conversion, and tragically it happens that some of the people do not understand it and are not able to accept others in unity. “I was able to win this case for the people and got the orders of stopping the construction cancelled. We smiled together that normally church saves people and here we saved the church! The village people are happy that they can have their own church now” The faith is on fire in Pakistan and we need tolerance and reconciliation to grow to remove hatred, grudge and jealousy from among our hearts. The situation in the village has not been solved amicably and we will continue to work on it that we give love and peace the opportunity. Mr. Sadaf Advocate said “I urge the readers any help that can be given for construction of this church building. Your help is of high value for church planting ministry in Pakistan and will help us to work on faith within the lives of Pakistan”
