HYDERABAD: August 10, 2015. (By Abbas Kassar) All Pakistaan Christian League has opposed government bid to celebrate 11th August as minority day and has decided to observe it as black day. In a statement professor Salamat Akhtar has said by declaring minority day on 11th August government has planned conspiracy to alienate non-Muslims from national main stream. He asked government that they were Pakistanis and should not be separated from national independence day.C0- chairman Sarwar Bhatti has said that the bid on part of government was to appease few persons. He said non-Muslims will celebrate national day on 14th August along with their Muslim brethren with zeal and fervor. He criticized few mischief mongers who since last 66 years have deprived them of their basic political and democratic rights.He said they were Pakistanis yester years, today and will remain as such in future.All members of Christian community following decision of APCL decided to observe 11 August as black day with wearing black arm bands and hoisting black flags on their houses. The meeting was attended by Nawaz Salamat Denmark, Arif Chowdhry Italy,Samson Javed UK,senior advocate J.J.Jari and others.
